چکیده

The aim of the study was to evaluate effect crude protein (CP) levels in concentrate and Sesbania grandiflora pod meal (SG) supplementation on feed intake, rumen fermentation, methane (CH4) mitigation Thai purebred beef cattle. Four cattle with 100 ± 5.0 kg body weight were used this study. A 2 × factorial experiment a 4 Latin square design conducted, which factor CP 14% 16% dry matter (DM) B supplement SG at 0.4% 0.6% DM respectively. results showed that content had no interaction digestibility, ruminal ecologies, fermentation products, nitrogen utilization. Increasing significantly (p < 0.05) increased ammonia (NH3-N), (N) N absorption, retention. decreased NH3-N, blood urea nitrogen, protozoa. In addition, acetate (C2), propionate ratio, methane, fecal excretion, while it total volatile fatty acids (VFAs) (C3) concentration. conclusion, could mitigate emission enhance

Effect of DL-malic acid supplementation on feed intake, methane emission, and rumen fermentation in beef cattle.

The objective of this study was to determine the effect of dietary concentration of dl-malic acid (MA) on DMI, CH(4) emission, and rumen fermentation in beef cattle. Two Latin square experiments were conducted. In Exp. 1, six beef heifers (19 +/- 1 mo old) were assigned in a duplicated Latin square to 1 of 3 dietary concentrations of MA on a DMI basis (0%, MA-0; 3.75%, MA-3.75; or 7.5%, MA-7.5)...

Influence of dietary crude protein concentration and source on potential ammonia emissions from beef cattle manure.

Emissions of ammonia, as well as other gases and particulates, to the atmosphere are a growing concern of livestock producers, the general public, and regulators. The concentration and ruminal degradability of CP in beef cattle diets may affect urinary and fecal excretion of N and thus may affect ammonia emissions from beef cattle feed yards. To determine the effects of dietary CP concentration...

Methane emissions, body composition, and rumen fermentation traits of beef heifers differing in residual feed intake.

This study examined the relationship of residual feed intake (RFI) and performance with methane emissions, rumen fermentation, and digestion in beef heifers. Individual DMI and growth performance were measured for 22 Simmental heifers (mean initial BW 449 kg, SD = 46.2 kg) offered grass silage ad libitum for 120 d. Ultrasonically scanned muscle and fat depth, BCS, muscularity score, skeletal me...
